The minimum target for attendance for each student is 96%, but students should aim for 100%.
The proper place for students to be on a school day is at school and if your child is not in school then there must be a good reason. Students' absence from school due to illness should be reported to the School on the first day of absence.
Days off school add up to lost learning and impact on your child's life chances. Attendance figures are reported on references for sixth form, college, apprenticeships and employment schemes. A place will not be offered to to students with low levels of attendance.
